Hello Everyone, I just watched the website video to remember and relive all of our exceptional exeperiences at the ranch last week. We will start to plan our return visit soon. All of the staff became our extended families and we truly felt like the ranch was our home. We had "Southern hospitality" way out West!!! The scenery was awesome, so different from our flat bayou country. The horseback riding was safe and pleasurable, never a minutes' worry. We have never enjoyed such breathtaking views whether in the hot tub or hiking in the Zirkel Wilfderness. The housekeeping staff saw to our every need, including laundry and the nightly searches for Merlin! I was pleasantly surprised that I could still fit into my jeans for the trip home with all of the delicious foods that we enjoyed. Can't wait to get back to our "home away from home". Kay

We can't say enough about our wonderful winter vacation at Vista Verde. My husband and I were quite apprehensive since we had never skied and were leaving cold miserable weather to come to an even colder and snowier place. All fears were washed away as soon as we were greeted by a staff member at the airport. The next 7 days brought great adventure, beautiful scenery, outstanding food, loads of fun, and interactions with the best staff imaginable. We are hooked on back country skiing and fell deeper in love with horses. Thanks Vista Verde for a one-of-a-kind experience of the highest calaber.

Thank you for another great week at VVR. It was great to see all of you and spend another fantastic week at the ranch. It is truly one of the best vacations we go on and are looking forward to returning again. The kids continue to talk about the ranch daily and look at the DVD and pictures as often as they can. The stories do not stop and the check the VVR website every couple of days to keep up with the ranch news. You and your staff have given them great experiences and memories I believe they will carry with them for a lifetime. Thank you very much! Keith

Dear Steph, As life has now settled back into a regular routine since the holidays, I wanted to take a moment to write to you. I wanted to thank you all so much for the truly amazing family vacation we had. As I think you know, I had been secretly hoping to come to Vista Verde for a number of years, originally in the summertime, and I was finally able to convince Mike that I thought he really would enjoy a ranch vacation, and he didn't have to get on a horse if he didn't want to! Well, he did get on a horse, Roman, and has told several tales about his riding. But more than that, it was a time when all of us were in a situation where we experienced things for the first time, together, and that was really neat. We felt so well taken care of, in really good hands, for everything we decided to try. The staff is so incredibly accomodating and knowledgeable, and made it all such fun. We loved the meals the food is divine, and the comraderie of meal time. I can't say enough about how wonderful the ranch is, and have intrigued many of our friends---you may find yourself with more Canadians! I will follow the blog once more so that I can stay connected with all that is going on--keep up the great work!! My "retreat" at VVR was exactly what I needed and more. Though I did not want to leave the comfort, beauty, and adventures of VVR, I made it home rejuvenated and ready to deal with my life?s challenges. Learning to ride renewed my confidence, helped me find balance, and instilled me with courage. Skiing the backcountry gave me the serenity and perspective I was looking for. So many people, staff and guests alike, reached out and made me feel safe and at home. I just want to say again that words cannot express my appreciation for the positive impact that VVR has had on my life. I found my voice and I found great strength. I am bursting with positive energy, ready to take care of myself, and ready to pursue a career that I am passionate about (something to do with the great outdoors and wildlife conservation).
